The artist of this beautiful hummingbird pendant is world renown, Calvin Begay, who was born in Gallup, New Mexico in 1965.  Raised in Tohatchi, New Mexico, Calvin learned to make jewelry from his mother and uncle around the age of 10.  Calvin has become an accomplished lapidary artist, designer and silversmith, earning the reputation as a master craftsman.  In 1989, Calvin Begay was awarded Best of Show at the Gallup Inter-Tribal Ceremonial.  His distinguished jewelry has earned numerous awards and is frequently featured in Arizona Highways.
