This impressive, handcrafted, Navajo Native American pendant features Dry Creek Turquoise, set in a detailed, sterling silver setting that has been oxidized. This signed pendant is an example of Navajo jewelry at its finest. Elevate your style in a Southwest way with this unique pendant that you will never tire of wearing.
Dry Creek Turquoise is pale, whitish-blue in color with very little caramel matrix. This pale color results when there is the lack of heavy metals during formation, which is a rare occurrence. The Dry Creek Mine in Lander County, Nevada, has been closed as the result of a family dispute after the death of the owner many years ago. Since the mined closed, Dry Creek Turquoise is scarce, highly sought after. No other mine has been found in the world for Dry Creek Turquoise, making it very valuable.
